"nowadays, people know the price of everything and the value of nothing."

Jacky’s Wall
I got back into painting! It’s not done yet, but I finally picked up this painting I started earlier in the year:
I’m performing a show on Jan 13th in LA! I’ll be making visuals for my friend Eric at an event in downtown LA. There’ll be DJ sets, cool visuals, some giant sculptures; come by if you’re in the area! Details for the event are on my company’s Instagram.
Sneak peek at some of the visuals (my computer starts lagging near the end, it’s trying its best):
In my day job, we’re hard at work with a few client projects and some heavy R&D projects for new product features, so be on the lookout for those!!
Recently I’ve been obsessed with:
grouptherapy (r&b collective, i’m seeing them in a month!!)
these photos of Willem Dafoe
John David Washington and Gemma Chan in The Creator (film)
Clare’s Wall
In December I took a bit of a break from the studio and painting — I rediscovered my love for drawing and worked on some graphite/colored pencil pieces. I’m excited to get back into the studio soon and start the new year with a fresh perspective after being away for a bit!
In January I have two shows, a group exhibition in Philadelphia (my first show outside of NYC!) and a solo exhibition at Chinatown Soup (where I was a resident in 2022). Details will be posted on my IG :) Happy new year!
Ashley’s Wall
hello, happy 2024! I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the 2024 hoopla; all my combined social media feeds are about how to keep your New Year’s resolutions. I’m guilty, too, New Year’s is one of my favorite holidays third to Christmas and the Fourth of July. I’ve been secretly chipping away at my resolutions while I’ve been away from NYC because even though it’s impossible to plan the chaos that is life, I enjoy having a vision.
the last month, I painted! I busted out my dried-out guache set and attempted reviving them with boiling water and a good stir. The second painting, I made for my childhood friend who saved me multiple times through the last year. I ran into the garage of my neighbor to help assemble the frame for it because he had all the good tools. Ta-da!

I started a new knit, but I don’t really know what I was thinking… it’s part alien. part leg. all weird. I’m sure something will pull out of my mind to salvage it, but for now, I’m also confused as to what I’m looking at.
this month, I’m undergoing a clay study. I took some time to map out my creative projects throughout the months for some light structure and I’m starting with some moldable dough. excited to show you what comes of it.
hm.. what else, what else. this is my favorite song, favorite thing, favorite tool, and current read from the month.
bravely onward!
nothing but ❤️🔥,
your friends from the art studio
